We are currently seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to join our team and help ensure the highest standards of quality in our products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect and evaluate fresh fruit and vegetable produce for quality, appearance, and compliance with company standards.
- Identify and report any defects, damages, or inconsistencies in products.
- Monitor temperature, storage conditions, and handling procedures to ensure optimal freshness and quality.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections and findings.
- Assist in sampling and testing procedures to ensure product safety and quality.
- Collaborate with team members to identify and resolve any quality-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as industry standards.
- Support the training and development of new staff in quality control procedures.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in quality control, preferably in the food or agriculture industry.
- Knowledge of fruit and vegetable handling, storage, and inspection processes.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to spot issues quickly.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- A passion for fresh produce and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
- Basic understanding of health and safety regulations is a plus.
- Alternating Weekend work
- 10 hour - 12 hour shifts depending on workload may be required to stay longer on certain days
