Newage Electrical is seeking an enthusiastic, reliable and customer-focused Warehouse & Customer Service Assistant to join our growing team. This is a varied, hands-on role combining warehouse duties, stock handling and customer service, making it ideal for someone who enjoys a busy working environment and is comfortable dealing directly with customers.
The successful candidate will assist with the day-to-day running of our warehouse, including receiving and checking deliveries, organising stock, preparing customer orders and helping customers with product collections. You will also provide support on the shop floor when required, answering customer queries and helping to ensure every customer receives a friendly and professional service.
You will play an important role in keeping our warehouse organised, ensuring stock is handled safely and accurately, and helping the wider team provide a smooth service from purchase through to collection or delivery. Full product and role training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Receiving, checking and putting away incoming deliveries
- Organising and maintaining stock within the warehouse
- Preparing appliances and customer orders for collection or delivery
- Assisting customers when collecting purchased products
- Helping customers with general product and order enquiries
- Supporting the sales team on the shop floor when required
- Moving and handling electrical appliances safely
- Checking stock quantities and reporting discrepancies
- Keeping the warehouse clean, organised and safe
- Helping with showroom stock and displays
- Ensuring products are handled carefully to avoid damage
- Providing a friendly and professional level of customer service
- Working closely with warehouse, sales and delivery colleagues
- Carrying out other reasonable duties required within the day-to-day operation of the business
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Reliable, punctual and hard-working
- Friendly and confident when dealing with customers
- Comfortable working in a physical, hands-on role
- Well organised with good attention to detail
- Able to work effectively as part of a team
- Willing to learn about electrical appliances and products
- Able to work in a busy environment and manage different tasks throughout the day
- Flexible and willing to assist in both warehouse and customer-facing areas
- Able to communicate clearly and professionally with customers and colleagues
Previous experience in warehouse work, retail, customer service, electrical retail or a similar environment would be beneficial but is not essential, as full training will be provided.

Pay: From £13.50 per hour
