Job Overview
We are now seeking an energetic and dedicated Café Manager to lead our vibrant café team. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a dynamic hospitality environment, loves working with food, and enjoys inspiring others. As Café Manager, you will oversee daily operations, ensure exceptional customer service, and maintain high standards of food safety and quality. Your leadership will help create a welcoming atmosphere where both staff and guests feel valued.
Responsibilities
- Lead the café team by supervising staff, including baristas and kitchen assistants, fostering teamwork and motivation
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure quality standards are met consistently
- Manage daily operations, including opening, closing, inventory control, and cash handling
- Ensure compliance with health and safety, fire and food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness and safety throughout the café environment
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests and addressing any concerns promptly
- Coordinate food production activities to ensure timely delivery of orders during busy periods
- Support staff training on food safety protocols, serving techniques, and hospitality best practices
- Manage stock, orders and supplier relationships
- Oversee and manage daily administrational tasks including staff rotas and development plans
Requirements
- Proven supervising experience in a café, restaurant, or hospitality setting with team management responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations
- Strong administration and communication skills
- Experience in health and safety and food safety standards and maintaining hygiene compliance
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members
- Background in hospitality or restaurant experience preferred
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for food service excellence and creating memorable guest experiences
Pay: From £33,400.00 per year
