Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Waiter/Waitress to join our team at Thaikhun Glasgow.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering exceptional customer service, thrive in a fast-paced hospitality environment, and enjoy working as part of a team. Previous experience in hospitality setting is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable and will support effective communication with our diverse team and customer base.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide a warm and friendly welcome to all guests and deliver excellent customer service throughout their visit.
- Take food and drink orders accurately and efficiently.
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high service standards.
- Ensure tables are clean, well-presented, and ready for guests.
- Assist with setting up and clearing down restaurant areas before, during, and after service.
- Process payments accurately and responsibly.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and promotions.
- Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service.
- Follow all food hygiene, health and safety, and company procedures.
- Contribute to a positive and welcoming atmosphere for both guests and colleagues.
Experience & Requirements
- Previous experience in hospitality environment is preferred but not essential.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Fluent English required; multilingual or bilingual abilities are advantageous.
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy, fast-paced environment.
- Strong teamwork skills and a positive attitude.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional in appearance and conduct.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays where required.

Contract Type: Zero-hours contract
Hours: Minimum 20 hours per week available, with most team members typically working additional hours based on business needs and availability.
