Senior Healthcare Assistant
An exciting opportunity to join an award-winning Residential Care Home for older people with a stable, caring team and a Good CQC rating, working towards achieving Outstanding.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and update resident care plans and risk assessments monthly, ensuring changing needs are accurately documented and met.
- Complete and maintain care records, including MUST charts, falls assessments, hydration monitoring, body maps, and other risk assessments.
- Safely administer medication in line with company policies and procedures.
- Support annual care plan reviews, working with residents, families, POAs, and external healthcare professionals.
- Conduct care plan audits with the Registered Manager and implement improvements.
- Deliver high-quality, person-centred care while maintaining CQC standards and KLOEs.
- Supervise, mentor, and motivate Care Assistants, promoting best practice and teamwork.
- Safeguard residents, ensuring their dignity, wellbeing, and safety at all times.
- Participate in senior team meetings and contribute to continuous service improvement.
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
- Previous experience in a Senior Care Assistant role within a residential care setting.
- Strong understanding of CQC standards and KLOEs.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and electronic care planning systems.
