We are seeking compassionate individuals to join our dedicated team in providing exceptional care and support for a young, fun-loving wheelchair bound individual who has a wonderful personality, loves people and going out, has a great sense of humour and who has a wonderful relationship with all of his care team.

Position Overview:
As a Private Support Worker, you will play a key role in ensuring the well-being and independence of the individual, and in supporting his parents, both at home and within the local community. Your duties will involve personal care, assisting with social activities, and providing companionship, all within a supportive and friendly environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safeguarding the individual's well-being and promoting independence.
- Assisting with personal care, social activities, household tasks, and other relevant support activities.
- Accompanying the individual on outings, short breaks, and family holidays together with other carers and family.
- Interacting with family, staff, and friends to create a positive and engaging atmosphere.
- Providing companionship and keeping the individual entertained and motivated.
- Work alongside family members and other carers to create a seamless support environment, fostering a sense of extended family.

- Competitive hourly rates: £14.04 per hour weekdays, £15.14 per hour weekends.

Unlike many traditional care roles, which can be subject to the normal risks associated with running a business, this position is fully funded through a stable and reliable arrangement overseen by a Legal Deputy, offering increased job security and consistent income without the financial uncertainties facing many care providers.

Ideal Candidate
- Experience: At least 1 year in care, nursing, special needs teaching or related fields.
- Certifications: A full, clean UK driving licence. Driving the individual’s vehicle is part of the role; however, the use of your personal vehicle is not required.
- Attributes: Empathetic, reliable, and motivated to make a positive impact in a family setting.
- Living within Ebbw Vale, or close proximity to it, is preferred to ensure availability during bad weather.
Additional Information:
- Weekend and bank holiday working is required on a rota basis, with every other weekend off.
- The position is advertised for day and afternoon shifts. Waking night shifts may, very occasionally, be required in order to cover staff leave but night shifts are not part of the normal rota for this position. Access to Sky TV and other entertainment apps are available during night shifts.
