Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Chef de Partie to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation. Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to menu specifications and quality standards
- Assist in the development of new recipes and menu items in collaboration with senior kitchen staff
- Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are strictly adhered to at all times
- Organise and oversee section operations during service periods, maintaining efficiency and consistency
- Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management to minimise waste
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations, including equipment and utensils
- Support junior kitchen staff through training and mentorship as required
- Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and meal presentation within a professional kitchen setting
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service times
- Good understanding of culinary techniques across various cuisines
- Experience working in restaurants or similar hospitality environments is highly desirable
- Ability to work as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and a positive attitude
- Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with colleagues and front-of-house staff
Pay: £13.50-£14.75 per hour
