Job Summary
ArRahma Foundation is seeking an energetic, outgoing, and community‑focused individual to lead our masjid engagement, outreach, youth work, foodbank support, and local business relations. This is a hands‑on role for someone passionate about serving the Muslim community and building meaningful connections across Birmingham.
Key Responsibilities
Masjid Engagement
- Build strong local and national relationships with masjids, imams, and community leaders
- Arrange and manage masjid collections and deliver short charity appeals
- Represent the charity at events and community gatherings
Foodbank & Community Support
- Oversee foodbank operations, volunteers, and stock
- Build partnerships with suppliers and donors
- Coordinate Ramadan parcels, winter packs, and other support programmes
Interfaith & Public Education
- Organise open days, talks, and school visits
- Support interfaith dialogue and community understanding of Islam
Youth Engagement
- Run workshops, mentoring, sports sessions, and youth activities
- Support youth‑led initiatives and positive community involvement
Local Business Liaison
- Build relationships with local businesses
- Oversee moneybox collections and sponsorship opportunities
- Organise business networking and community events
What We’re Looking For
- Confident, extroverted communicator
- Strong understanding of Islamic values and masjid culture
- Highly organised and able to manage multiple projects
- Passion for youth work and community development
- Fundraising or outreach experience beneficial
- Full UK driving licence required and must have access to own vehicle
