We are looking for a self employed hairdresser to come and work alongside the welcoming and supportive team here at Helens hair H’s
It will be on a self-employed basis, with a set daily/weekly chair rent .
The salon has a very busy client base already which is growing every day, this would be the perfect opportunity for any hairdressers who are wanting to build their client base up a bit or are wanting a fresh start in a new salon!
Responsibilities:
- Provide a wide range of hair styling services to clients, including cutting, colouring, and styling.
- Consult with clients to understand their hair goals and preferences.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest hair trends and techniques.
- Recommend hair care products and treatments to clients.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
- Adhere to all salon policies and procedures.
- Build and maintain a loyal client base.
Requirements:
- Valid hairdressing qualification
- Experience as a Hair Stylist.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of current industry trends and techniques.

Duties
- Deliver expert hair cutting, styling, coloring, and treatments tailored to each client’s preferences and hair type
- Provide professional consultations to recommend suitable styles, products, and treatments that enhance client satisfaction
- Perform specialized services such as eyelash extensions and makeup application to elevate the client experience
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace adhering to health and safety standards at all times
- Engage with clients at the front desk to schedule appointments, upsell retail products, and ensure a seamless service flow
- Mentor junior team members by sharing techniques and best practices to foster skill development
- Build lasting relationships through excellent communication skills and attentive customer service
Experience
- Proven experience in hair styling, barbering, or related beauty services with a strong portfolio of work
- Demonstrated ability to manage store operations or assist with store management tasks is a plus
- Skilled in customer service with a friendly, approachable demeanor that makes clients feel valued
- Experience in front desk responsibilities including appointment booking and retail upselling
- Knowledge of current trends in hair styling, makeup application, and eyelash extensions
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members alike
- Ability to mentor others and contribute positively to team growth

Pay: £20.00-£40.00 per hour
