Overview
We are seeking a proactive and hands-on Site Engineer to join our small, close-knit team, delivering specialist fuel systems work across the UK and occasionally overseas. This is a hybrid role based at our Shrewsbury HQ combined with regular national travel, working across the rail, marine and MOD sectors. You'll carry out fuel tank sampling, build and install additive injection and fuel polishing systems, and take on installation work on client sites. Responsibilities
- Carry out fuel tank sampling on client sites across the rail, marine and MOD sectors
- Build, install and commission additive injection and fuel polishing systems
- Complete mechanical installation work to a high standard, including pipe fitting (pressfit and screwed pipe)
- Coordinate with the wider team, contractors and clients to keep projects running smoothly
- Conduct site inspections and maintain accurate records, reports and logs
- Ensure all work is carried out in line with health, safety and quality standards at all times
- Support the team beyond the core role where needed, particularly with tasks at the Shrewsbury office/HQ
Requirements
- Mechanically focused skill set; some electrical experience would be beneficial
- Pipe fitting experience, including pressfit and screwed pipe, would be an advantage
- Experience in the petroleum or pump industry (preferred)
- Willingness to travel nationally, with occasional foreign travel (all expenses covered & access to company van)
- Comfortable with lone working and regular travel
- Confident, professional communicator, comfortable liaising with customers and contractors on site and building strong working relationships
- Flexible, self-motivated approach with a willingness to take on tasks outside the usual job description
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong attention to detail and a safety-first mindset
- Apprentice trained or engineering qualifications are an advantage

Pay: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
