Total Energy Controls Limited are a growing engineering business and we are looking for an experienced Industrial Electrical & Control Systems Engineer to join our engineering team. What You'll Do:
· Install, wire, and commission industrial electrical systems and control panels
· Maintain and troubleshoot PLC systems (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Schneider)
· Work with HMI and SCADA systems for monitoring and control
· Read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics (AutoCAD)
· Diagnose and repair faults in HV & LV three-phase power generator systems, and switchgear
· Provide accurate reports and documentation following site visits
· Travel to various Utility, Commercial and Data Centre sites to carry out installation, maintenance, and upgrade works. The work sites are located throughout the UK.
Requirements:
· Relevant technical education or degree in Electrical or Electronic engineering or a related field.
· Strong knowledge and experience in electrical and electronic control systems.
· Familiarity with PLC programming, HMI/SCADA systems, and industrial processes.
· Understanding of electrical power distribution and control processes related to embedded power generation (Standby and Base Load Systems) and building management systems would be an advantage.
· Attention to detail and ability to provide thorough work reports.
· Strong work ethic and professionalism.
Note: Knowledge in Allan Bradley MicroLogix, Siemens, Schnieder and Mitsubishi will be considered advantageous.
Note: The company will offer in-house product and professional training as required.
Desirable but not essential:
. Degree in Engineering or HNC/HND
· NVQ Level 3 or equivalent will be considered
· ECS/JIB Gold Card
· Experience with SCADA systems
· Familiarity with the standby generator industry and the control equipment utilised would be considered advantageous.
· Ability to read/write simple PLC logic is an advantage
