We are seeking a passionate and skilled NHS Dental Associate to join our dynamic dental team. As a Dental Associate, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional NHS dental patient care, assisting with a variety of dental procedures, and ensuring a comfortable and positive experience for every patient. Duties
- Perform comprehensive dental examinations, including assessing oral health and diagnosing dental conditions
- Assist in the preparation and execution of dental procedures such as fillings, crowns, extractions, and root canals
- Utilize CAD (Computer-Aided Design) technology for designing dental restorations when applicable
- Take and interpret medical imaging, including X-rays, to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning
- Apply your knowledge of anatomy to ensure precise treatment delivery and patient safety
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions
- Maintain accurate patient records, treatment plans, and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations
- Collaborate with the dental team to develop personalized treatment strategies that meet individual patient needs
Skills
- Proficiency in CAD software for designing dental restorations and appliances
- Strong understanding of human anatomy related to oral structures and facial features
- Experience with medical imaging techniques such as CBCT & X-ray interpretation and digital imaging systems
- Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively and answer their questions confidently
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of current dental practices, tools, and materials used in restorative and cosmetic dentistry
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated on industry advancements
