Overview
We are seeking a skilled Self Employed 2nd fixer to join our dynamic team working to daywork. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry and be adept at using hand and power tools, compliant with H&S dust control (own a M Class Hoover for dust extraction). The Fitter will play a crucial role in ensuring that all works are completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities
- Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for fabrication and assembly work.
- Carry out carpentry to a high standard.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining safety protocols.
- Conduct regular inspections of work areas to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Requirements
- CSCS card registered to a minimum NVQ 2 level in Carpentry.
- Full tool kit to include M Class Hoover for dust extraction - appropriate FFP3 Dust Mask. Full PPE
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Strong understanding of fabrication techniques and materials used in construction.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
