Gabitie Group Ltd is a growing steel fabrication and architectural metalwork manufacturer based in Wolverhampton. We design, manufacture and install a wide range of products, including staircases, steel buildings, structural steelwork, balconies, balustrading, gates, railings and bespoke fabrications, throughout the UK.
The Role
We are looking for an experienced Fabricator to join our workshop team.
This is a hands-on manufacturing role focused on marking out, cutting, forming and assembling steel components to a high standard, ready for welding. The successful candidate will be confident working from CAD drawings, will take pride in accurate, well-finished work, and will contribute to a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Marking out, cutting and forming mild steel components from CAD drawings;
- Reading and interpreting engineering and fabrication drawings;
- Fabricating staircases, balustrades, structural steelwork, gates, railings and bespoke metalwork;
- Preparing and assembling components ready for welding;
- Checking dimensions and squareness against drawings before handover;
- Working closely with the welding, laser cutting, folding and production departments;
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area;
- Supporting continuous improvement within the workshop.
Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Proven fabrication experience in a production environment;
- Confident reading and working from CAD and engineering drawings;
- Experience working with mild steel;
- Good attention to detail and accuracy with measurements;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable:
- Experience with stainless steel and aluminium;
- MIG or TIG welding experience;
- Forklift licence;
- Fabrication or engineering qualifications.

Pay: £12.71-£20.00 per hour
