Overview
We are currently looking for skilled and experienced joiners/kitchen fitters to join our team at A&K Building Services!
With our rapid growth and continued development, we are looking to hire hardworking joiners for projects throughout Wythenshawe and Cheshire East.
Previous experience in this kind of work is essential - joinery experience is *required*
Duties
- General Joinery work within domestic settings (Doors/Frames/Architaves/Skirting Boards)
- Installation of new timber floors to current regulations
- Installation of kitchens to plan
- Basic cabinetry and maintenance
- Keeping site clean and tidy
- Be able to work as part of a team and be able to pro-actively work on your own
- Ensuring that all of the above are carried out within the Health & Safety guidelines, and Health & Safety Policy.
- Where issued, maintain tools and equipment ensuring that they are clean condition and carry out weekly checks and report any defects found.
- Liase with management regarding required materials and work schedules.
- Be comfortable in working in a live environment and occupied and unoccupied homes
Skills/ Desirable Skills and Qualifications
- Relevant Trade Qualification
- CSCS Card (desired but not essential)
- Asbestos Awareness certificate – again, desirable but not essential
- Must hold a full clean driving licence
**You MUST be willing to complete your CSCS and/or Asbestos Awareness within 4 weeks of starting work**
Package
We currently are offering a full time post for the right candidate working between our void (empty property) and bathroom installation teams performing the duties above.
**This work is on a self-employed basis and all applicants will be required to be CIS registered and obtain a UTR number within 4 weeks of starting work**
