We are seeking an energetic and personable Weekend Bartender to join our vibrant new team as we launch our wine bar in the centre of Northampton. As a Weekend Bartender, you will need to thrive during busy weekend hours, whilat delivering exceptional service
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly as they arrive and guide them through the drink menu with enthusiasm and professionalism
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic options, adhering to proper recipes and presentation standards
- Ensure all drinks are made safely, following food safety protocols and responsible serving practices
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and work surfaces, throughout your shift
- Manage multiple orders efficiently while providing attentive service to all guests
- Handle transactions accurately and process payments promptly
- Monitor guest behavior to promote a safe environment and intervene when necessary in accordance with alcohol service policies
Requirements
- Previous experience working in hospitality or restaurant settings is preferred, especially in bartending or serving roles
- Knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service practices
- Strong time management skills to handle busy weekend shifts smoothly
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
- Basic math skills for handling payments and making change accurately
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks involved in bartending duties
- A friendly attitude with a passion for creating enjoyable guest experiences
Pay: From £12.71 per hour
