Job Summary
Puma Berry Ltd is seeking an experienced SC-Cleared Technical Delivery Lead – Secure by Design (SbD) / RMADS to support a UK defence programme.
This Outside IR35 contract opportunity is subject to the award of the relevant client contract. You will provide technical and team leadership while remaining hands-on in security assurance, risk management, RMADS/security-case development and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of Secure by Design and security-assurance activities for UK defence systems.
- Define and manage delivery plans, milestones, risks, dependencies, technical quality and delivery reporting.
- Lead and review Threat Assessments, Risk Assessments, Risk Treatment Plans, Implementation and Assurance Plans, RMADS and security cases.
- Provide technical and team leadership, including mentoring specialists, assuring outputs and driving delivery best practice.
- Coordinate independent technical security testing where required and convert findings into prioritised remediation actions.
- Work with security, technical and operational stakeholders to agree system boundaries, controls, residual risks and assurance evidence.
- Support Secure by Design self-assessments, senior stakeholder engagement and security-approval activities.
Experience
- 10+ years’ commercial experience in cyber security, information assurance, security engineering or a related discipline.
- Proven Secure by Design, RMADS or security-case delivery experience within MOD, defence or similarly regulated environments.
- Demonstrable experience leading technical teams and delivering complex security-assurance work packages.
- Strong practical knowledge of threat and risk assessment, security-control selection and assurance planning.
- Working knowledge of ISO 27002, ISO 27005, NIST 800-31 and NIST 800-53.
- Experience managing client stakeholders and translating complex security issues into clear, practical actions.
Desirable
- Experience of asset and configuration management.
- Experience of IT Health Checks, vulnerability management or coordinating independent security-testing providers.
- Familiarity with MOD security policy, JSPs, security-approval processes and assurance tools.
- Experience working in safety-critical, secure or highly regulated environments.
- Experience of leading multidisciplinary engineering or security teams.
Requirements
- Active SC security clearance is essential. Candidates who are only eligible for SC clearance cannot be considered.
- Strong technical-delivery and team-leadership capability.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a client-facing defence environment.
- Applicants must have the unrestricted right to work in the UK.

On-site Requirement: Hybrid remote, with on-site delivery at Chicksands, Bedfordshire. The role is expected to require approximately two overnight visits per month.
Travel and Expenses: The advertised day rate is all-inclusive. The successful contractor will be responsible for arranging and funding their own travel, accommodation and subsistence associated with on-site attendance.
Pay: £675.00 per day
