Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Conference, Food & Beverage Assistant (Bar) to join our dynamic team. This role involves providing exceptional hospitality services during conferences and events, ensuring guests receive a memorable experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting food and beverage operations, maintaining high standards of service, and assisting with event setups. Previous experience in hospitality or food service is advantageous, and a passion for delivering excellent customer care is essential. Duties
- To ensure conference rooms, the bar and restaurant areas and the sunken lounge are always presentable.
- To serve in the restaurant through breakfast, lunch, or dinner service.
- To serve on the bar through lunch, dinner, or events.
- Ensure all service areas are well stocked regularly.
- To ensure great guest experience throughout the guests stay.
- Liaise with the CF&B Operations Manager or Duty Manager and complete tasks given in a reasonable timeframe.
- To comply with H&S as per the departmental risk assessments.
- Report any maintenance issues found throughout the building.
- Carry out any reasonable tasks given by the management team.
- Always act in a professional manner whilst on site.
- Ensure your uniform is presentable and in line with the SOP manual.
Requirements
- Previous experience in catering, serving, or hospitality roles is desirable; restaurant or bar experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures to ensure compliance at all times.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy periods.
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanour.
- Ability to work flexibly during scheduled shifts, including weekends or evenings as required.
- A proactive attitude towards teamwork and customer satisfaction.
- Personal presentation should be neat and appropriate for a professional hospitality environment. This role provides an engaging environment for individuals passionate about hospitality, offering valuable experience in conference catering and event support within a reputable organisation.
- Must be punctual and have good attendance record.
National Minimum Wage
Hours: Flexible depending on needs of the business but more likely to be 1700 - 2300 - 24 hours per week
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
