Oral Surgery Dental Nurse – Bath & Surrounding Areas
Oral Surgery Ltd is an organisation that delivers specialist level oral surgery services in London, Hampshire, Dorset, Gloucestershire and Bath. We are delighted to announce an opportunity for a dental nurse in Bath and the surrounding area.
- Bath, Trowbridge, Bradford on Avon
- 4 days per week - 6-month fixed-term contract
- Some weekend working required
- Oral Surgery cases only. We do not do general dentistry
Important: This is a multi-site role. This position involves regular travel between clinics in Bath, Trowbridge and Bradford on Avon, according to the planned rota and needs of the service. Occasional travel to other Oral Surgery Ltd locations may also be required.
The role is initially offered on a 6-month fixed-term contract, with the potential for opportunities beyond this depending on service requirements and mutual suitability.
The Role
Oral Surgery Ltd is looking for a confident, enthusiastic and patient-focused GDC-registered Dental Nurse to join our specialist oral surgery team.
This isn't a typical dental nursing role. You'll work alongside experienced oral surgeons, support patients throughout their treatment journey and have the opportunity to develop greater responsibility and autonomy within a specialist environment.
Your week will be varied, working across different clinics rather than being based in the same surgery every day.
What you'll be doing
- Assisting surgeons with consultations and oral surgery procedures
- Supporting and reassuring patients before, during and after treatment
- Running independent OPG and sedation pre-assessment clinics under prescription, where appropriately trained
- Maintaining excellent infection prevention, compliance and surgery standards
- Preparing and maintaining clinical equipment and managing stock
- Supporting bookings and administrative duties when not required clinically
- Travelling between clinics according to the service rota
What we're looking for
Essential:
- GDC-registered Dental Nurse
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A caring, confident approach to patients
- Reliability and flexibility
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly between sites
Advantageous, but not essential:
- Dental radiography qualification
- Sedation training or certification
- Previous oral surgery or surgical experience
Don't be put off if you haven't worked in oral surgery before. For the right nurse with a strong clinical foundation and the right attitude, we can provide training and support.

- A supportive team with a relatively flat hierarchy
- Varied working locations and clinical environments
- Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications
