Caravan Workshop Technician
Location: Torksey Caravans
Salary: £30,000 – £34,000 per annum (dependent on experience and skill set)
About the Role
Torksey Caravans is looking for a reliable and practical Caravan Workshop Technician to join our growing workshop team. This role involves servicing, repairing, and maintaining touring caravans to a high standard, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and with attention to detail.
Previous experience as a caravan technician is not essential, as full training can be provided for the right candidate. However, relevant trade skills and a willingness to learn—particularly in damp repairs—will be highly beneficial.
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday
- 8:00am – 4:30pm
- 30 minutes paid break + 30 minutes unpaid break daily
- Opportunity for overtime during the summer months
Holiday Entitlement
- 20 days annual leave, pro rata based on a 40-hour work week
- One week taken during the Christmas shutdown
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on touring caravans
- Diagnosing and repairing faults across mechanical, electrical, and structural areas
- Undertaking damp inspections and repairs (training available if required)
- Completing job sheets and workshop documentation accurately
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment
- Working collaboratively with the wider team to meet customer deadlines
Skills & Experience (Advantageous but Not Essential)
- NCC Approved Workshop Scheme training
- Mechanical experience
- Woodworking or joinery skills
- Gas qualifications
- Electrical qualifications
- Damp repair experience
- Confidence using hand and power tools

- Practical, hands-on, and eager to learn
- Willing to develop skills in damp repairs (or already experienced)
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently when required
- Takes pride in producing high-quality workmanship
- Holds a positive attitude and strong work ethic
