Are you an Energy Consultant looking to grow your career in a supportive, design-led practice? At Stuart King Architecture & Design, we’re looking for an On Construction Domestic Energy Assessor (OCDEA) and SBEM Assessor to join our friendly, collaborative team, supporting a range of residential and commercial projects

The Role
You’ll play a key role in delivering energy and compliance calculations across a range of residential and commercial projects, working closely with architects, private clients, and housing developers.
Key responsibilities include:
- Producing SAP and SBEM calculations
- Preparing project-specific Energy Design Analyses
- Liaising directly with one-off private clients and commercial housing developers
- Working to current new-build domestic and commercial energy and sustainability standards
- Supporting the wider design team with energy-efficient, compliant solutions
- Managing multiple projects with strong attention to detail
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- Experience with SAP and SBEM calculations
- Competence using technical design or modelling software (CAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar)
- Experience delivering commercially aware energy design solutions
- Good communication skills and confidence engaging with clients
- A proactive, organised approach
- A strong interest in building performance and sustainability
Desirable (but not essential):
- Experience with TM54 and TM59 analysis
- Psi value calculations
- Experience using Elmhurst Energy and IES software
