Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in our facilities, ensuring a welcoming and hygienic environment for all guests and staff. This role is essential in providing excellent customer service and contributing to the overall guest experience.
Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities.
- Ensure all areas are cleaned to the highest standards, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitising surfaces.
- Change bed linens and towels, ensuring they are fresh and well-presented.
- Restock supplies such as toiletries, linens, and cleaning materials as needed.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.
- Assist with laundry duties as required.
- Provide exceptional customer service by responding to guest requests in a friendly and efficient manner.
- Maintain an organised cleaning cart and ensure all cleaning equipment is in good working order.
Requirements
- Previous experience in hotel housekeeping or commercial cleaning is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Good communication skills with a focus on customer service.
- Basic cooking skills would be an advantage for assisting with meal preparations if required.
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks throughout the shift, including lifting and moving items as necessary.
