This is an exciting opportunity to join NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde as a Healthcare Support Worker within the Intensive, Unscheduled CAMHS and Paediatric Liaison Service. You will work as part of a skilled multi-disciplinary team providing essential support to children and young people experiencing mental health crisis. Within NHSGGC, you will be part of a progressive organisation committed to delivering high quality, compassionate and person-centred care across our communities. Key responsibilities:
- Provide high quality support to children and young people experiencing mental health crisis within a multidisciplinary team

Deliver therapeutic interventions and support as identified within individual care plans
-
Offer telephone triage and crisis support to patients, families and carers
-
Contribute to assessment processes, care planning and multidisciplinary team discussions

Maintain accurate and confidential clinical records in line with policy and standards

Build effective therapeutic relationships with patients and support their recovery journey

Liaise with health, social care and external agencies to support patient pathways and continuity of care
Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job:
- SVQ or HNC in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification

Experience working within a mental health or health and social care setting

Understanding of mental health legislation and approaches to care

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to support distressed patients and families

Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment

Strong organisational and time management skills with ability to prioritise workload

Ability to work on own initiative with a compassionate, non judgemental and flexible approach
