Your Role
An exciting opportunity has become available to join Stockport Council's Adult Social Care Provider Services as our Team Manager and CQC Registered Manager for REACH, Reablement and Intermediate Care Services. This is a key leadership role with responsibility for delivering high-quality, person-centred services that support people to regain and maintain their independence, remain in their own homes for longer and achieve the outcomes that matter most to them.
As the Registered Manager, you will be accountable for ensuring services are safe, effective, responsive and well-led, maintaining compliance with Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulations and driving a culture of continuous improvement. You will lead a large operational workforce, providing visible leadership and strategic direction across a diverse portfolio of services that sit at the heart of Stockport's prevention and independence agenda.
Working closely with health partners, social work teams and wider Adult Social Care services, you will play a pivotal role in supporting hospital discharge, preventing unnecessary admissions to long-term care and enabling people to live as independently as possible within their communities.
This is an exciting time to join us as we continue to develop innovative approaches to service delivery, including the use of technology-enabled care, reablement and strengths-based practice to improve outcomes for residents whilst making best use of public resources.
About You
We're looking for an inspirational and experienced leader who is passionate about delivering outstanding care and support services and who can confidently fulfil the responsibilities of a CQC Registered Manager.
You will have significant experience of managing adult social care, health or other CQC-regulated services and a strong understanding of quality assurance, governance and regulatory compliance.
You will be able to demonstrate a track record of leading high-performing teams, improving services and delivering positive outcomes for people who draw upon care and support.
You will be someone who:
-
Has experience of leading operational care, support, reablement, rehabilitation or community-based services.
-
Has the ability to meet the requirements of a CQC Registered Manager and a thorough understanding of the regulatory framework.
-
Can provide visible, supportive and inspirational leadership to multidisciplinary teams.
-
Has experience of driving service improvement, managing change and embedding innovation.
-
Is committed to strengths-based, person-centred approaches that promote independence and wellbeing.
-
Understands how technology-enabled care and digital solutions can support people to live independently.
-
Has experience of managing budgets, resources, workforce performance and quality standards.
-
Can develop effective partnerships across health, social care, voluntary sector and community organisations.
-
Is motivated by achieving excellent outcomes for residents and ensuring services are continuously improving.
Whilst professional qualifications in health, social care or leadership are welcomed, we are keen to attract applications from leaders with relevant operational and regulated service experience who can demonstrate the skills, knowledge and leadership required to succeed in the role.
Applicants must hold a valid UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle for work purposes.
