The Role
We are currently recruiting a Team Leader to join our Landscaping Team at Tata Steel, Port Talbot.
This is initially offered as a 6 month contract, with the potential to become a permanent position for the right candidate.
The successful candidate will lead a small landscaping team working at various locations around Tata site. The role will primarily focus on landscaping and grounds maintenance activities although you may also be required to support other labouring and site service operations as required by the business.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead and motivate a small team to deliver landscaping and grounds maintenance activities safely and efficiently.
· Plan and organise daily tasks to ensure work is completed to agreed standards and timescales.
· Operate and oversee the use of a variety of landscaping equipment
· Maintain high standards of safety compliance, quality and customer service
· Conduct routine equipment checks and ensure machinery is maintained in a safe and serviceable condition
· Promote a positive safety culture and lead by example at all times.
· Complete daily reports and required documentation accurately
Essential Skills & Experience:
We are looking for:
· Previous experience in Landscaping, grounds maintenance
· Experience leading, supervising or co-ordinating a small team
· Good organisational skills
Preferred Qualifications:
· Full UK driving Licence (max 6 points)
· CCNSG (Passport to Safety) Qualification
· IOSH Managing Safety Qualification
What We Offer :
· 8-hour shifts
· Monday to Friday : 07:45 – 16:15 (30 minutes unpaid lunch)
· Basic Hourly rate: £14.00 per hour, paid weekly in arrears
· Full PPE & Uniform Provided
· Job Type: Temporary 6 month contract
· Overtime opportunities - paid after completion of contracted 40 hours work
· Contributory company pension scheme (auto enrolment)
