Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Practitioner Level 3 to join our early childhood education team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting children's development, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment, and working collaboratively with colleagues and families. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your management and leadership skills within a vibrant nursery setting. Candidates should have relevant nursery experience and a passion for working with children, along with strong communication skills and the ability to foster positive relationships. A valid driving licence is desirable to support mobility needs.
Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver, and evaluate age-appropriate activities that promote children's learning and development in line with early childhood education standards.
- Supervise children during play, meal times, naps, and outdoor activities, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Support the implementation of nursery policies, procedures, and safeguarding protocols to maintain a secure environment.
- Lead small groups of children, providing personalised care and attention to meet individual needs.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create an inclusive, stimulating, and welcoming atmosphere for children and families.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress, attendance, and developmental milestones.
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding children's progress and any concerns that may arise.
- Support the management team in organising daily routines and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Skills
- Proven experience working within a nursery or childcare setting, ideally at Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
- Strong management and leadership abilities to guide junior staff and organise activities efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to liaise effectively with colleagues and families.
- Deep understanding of child development principles and early childhood education practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while demonstrating initiative when required.
- Compassionate approach with genuine enthusiasm for working with children of various ages.
- Valid driving licence is advantageous for supporting nursery-related travel or outings.

Pay: £26,000.00-£31,000.00 per year
