Job Summary
VFP Group is a rapidly growing Fire Protection business providing active fire, passive fire and fire suppression services throughout the UK. As part of our continued growth, we are looking to recruit a Passive Fire Surveyor / Estimator to help develop and grow our Passive Fire Division. The Role
We are looking for an experienced individual who can carry out passive fire surveys, identify remedial works and prepare quotations and estimates for fire compartmentation, fire stopping and fire door projects. The successful candidate will work closely with our directors and project teams, helping to develop this area of the business with the opportunity to progress into a management position as the department grows.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out fire compartmentation and passive fire surveys.
- Identify defects and non-compliant installations.
- Produce detailed survey reports and scopes of work.
- Prepare quotations, estimates and costings.
- Attend client meetings and site visits.
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Assist with project planning and delivery.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Support the growth of the Passive Fire Division.
Skills / Requirements
- Proven experience in fire safety surveying or estimating within the passive fire protection industry.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent understanding of fire compartmentation and fire stopping.
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure accuracy in surveys, estimations and producing reports.
- Proficiency in analysing technical drawings and specifications.
- Sound understanding of fire safety regulations and standards applicable within the UK.
- Ability to effectively communicate complex information clearly to clients and team members.
- Competence in cost control techniques to optimise project budgets and resource allocation.
- A proactive approach with problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable
- Experience with other passive services including fire door installations and remedial works.
- FIRAS and/or BM TRADA experience.
- Social Housing experience.
- Experience with managing subcontractors.
- Knowledge of passive fire compliance requirements.

Pay: £40,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
