Class 1 Tug Driver (Shunter) – Gosport, Hampshire
Employment Partners are currently recruiting Class 1 Tug Driver for our client based in Gosport-
Must hold a HGV 1 Licence and have at least 8mths HGV class1 driving experience
Shifts Available:
- Early Shift: 06:00 – 14:00
- Sat/Sun Shift: 06.00 to 18.00 is a 12hr shift
Pay Rates (PAYE incl. holiday pay):
- Early/Mid Shift: £18.00 hour Mon to Fri are 8hrs shifts paid 9hrs
- SAT / SUN: £21.30/hour - these are 12hr shifts
- Paid Breaks
- Minimum 9 hours paid per shift (average working time: 8 hours)
Opportunities for overtime
About the Role:
This is a Temp to Perm with an immediate start - you will need to be assessed by trainer on the Tug.
You’ll be:
- Operating a shunting tug (Terberg) — experience preferred
- Moving trailers in and out of the factory, one at a time
- Strapping loads internally – knowledge of proper load securing is a plus
- Parking trailers for outbound drivers
- Undergoing assessment and supervised training before working independently
Requirements:
- Minimum 6 months Class 1 (C+E) experience
- Full UK driving licence
- Valid CPC & Tachograph card
- Maximum 6 penalty points (No DD or DR convictions)
