We support people with learning disabilities to live fulfilling lives in their own homes and communities—and we’re looking for someone special to join us as a Deputy Team Manager.
This exciting new role combines hands-on support with the opportunity to develop your management skills.
You’ll spend most of your week providing high-quality, person-centred support directly to the people we work alongside. You’ll also have dedicated management time to work closely with the Team Manager, supporting colleagues and helping the whole team provide the very best service possible.
What does the role look like?
There’ll be plenty of variety.
You’ll help people pursue their goals, make their own choices, develop their independence and enjoy the lives they want to lead.
You’ll also support the Team Manager with responsibilities such as:
- guiding, encouraging and developing support workers
- carrying out supervisions and observations of practice
- helping to develop person-centred plans, support guidance and risk assessments
- making sure support remains safe, consistent and focused on each individual
- helping the team solve problems and continually improve
- providing on-call guidance and support for your team
We’re looking for someone who’s:
- kind, approachable and genuinely passionate about people
- committed to helping people live their best lives
- able to lead by example and bring out the best in others
- organised, dependable and confident taking responsibility
- calm and practical when problems arise
- a good communicator who builds positive relationships
- ready to step up and support the team when the Team Manager isn’t available
You may already have some supervisory or senior support experience—or you might simply be an excellent support worker who is ready to take the next step.
