Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Baby Room Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood development and experience working with infants. As a Baby Room Practitioner, you will be responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for young children, supporting their developmental milestones while fostering their curiosity and confidence.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality care tailored to the needs of infants, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress, routines, and any concerns to ensure effective communication with parents and team members.
- Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging independence and social skills through nurturing interactions.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive team environment focused on delivering excellent childcare standards.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including hygiene practices and safeguarding policies.
- Support the transition of children through different stages of development by adapting care approaches accordingly.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in a childcare or nursery setting, particularly with infants or in early childhood education.
- Strong management and leadership skills to guide both children and team members effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in English, capable of building rapport with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Knowledge of nursery practices, safeguarding procedures, and health & safety standards within early years settings.
- Ability to demonstrate patience, empathy, and professionalism in all interactions.
- Valid childcare qualification (such as Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years Educator or equivalent) is preferred.
- A valid driving license is advantageous for supporting nursery activities outside the premises when required.
