Sleep-In Support Worker

Pay: £80 per sleep-in shift, plus £13.85 per hour for any waking hours worked during the sleep-in

Inspire Sussex is looking for compassionate Sleep-In Support Workers to join our friendly team supporting adults with mild learning disabilities in one of our residential homes.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to fit work around other commitments while helping people live happy, independent, and fulfilling lives.
The Role
Your shift will begin at 8:00pm, where you will complete a handover and settle residents for the evening. You will then sleep on site and be available should any support be required overnight.
From 8:00am until 10:00am, you will work alongside the day team, supporting residents with their morning routines before finishing your shift.
The number of sleep-in shifts you work each week is flexible and can be discussed to suit your availability.
What You'll Be Doing
- Providing reassurance and support overnight if required.
- Promoting the independence, dignity, and wellbeing of the people we support.
- Supporting residents with their morning routines, including personal care where required.
- Encouraging choice, independence, and community involvement.
- Maintaining accurate records and working closely with colleagues to provide outstanding care.
What We're Looking For
- A caring, patient, and reliable individual.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Previous experience in care is beneficial but not essential, as full training will be provided.
