We are looking for a Trainee Sewing Machinist to join our small friendly production team. No previous sewing machine experience is required, as full training will be provided.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, has a good eye for detail, and wants to build a career within a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Learn to operate industrial sewing machines safely and efficiently.
- Sew and assemble products i.e. bags and covers to required quality standards.
- Follow work instructions and production specifications.
- Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet production targets.
- Report any faults or quality issues to the line manager.

In return we are offering 20 days holiday per year plus bank holidays and you will also accrue one additional days’ paid holiday for each completed year of service, up to a maximum of 5 additional days, pension scheme, on-site parking, staff discount and an Employee assistance program
The hours of work will be Monday to Thursday 7am - 4.30pm with 1 hour unpaid breaks and Friday 7am - 1.30pm with a 30 minutes unpaid break.
