FLT Driver - Counterbalance
Location: Pickering
Permanent Position
We are currently recruiting for an FLT Driver to join a busy manufacturing business in Pickering.
The role involves moving materials around the site, replenishing production stock, supplying production lines, and ensuring goods are stored safely and accurately using the company's barcode system.
Shift Pattern
3 week rotating shift pattern, averaging 40 hours per week.
Week 1:
Days, Wednesday to Friday, 8:00am to 8:00pm
Week 2:
Nights, Monday to Wednesday, 8:00pm to 8:00am
Week 3:
Monday and Tuesday, 8:00am to 8:00pm
Thursday and Friday, 8:00pm to 8:00am
Each shift includes two paid 15 minute breaks and one unpaid 30 minute break.
Duties include:
- Operating a Fork Lift Truck
- Replenishing production stock and Kanban areas
- Picking and supplying materials to production
- Booking stock using a barcode system
- Carrying out stock takes
- Performing ICS checks and booking finished goods
- Shrink wrapping finished pallets
- Maintaining excellent housekeeping and health and safety standards
We're looking for someone who:
- Holds a valid FLT licence
- Has previous warehouse, logistics or manufacturing experience
- Has a good understanding of health and safety
- Is reliable, self motivated and organised
- Can work flexibly to cover holidays and occasional weekend work when required
