We’re looking for a full time Sous Chef who can support the Head Chef in running a tight, consistent kitchen while bringing ideas, energy, and standards that match the level we’re pushing for.
The Role
As Sous Chef, you’ll be second-in-command in the kitchen — leading service, supporting the team, and making sure everything leaving the pass is on point.
You’ll play a key role in:
- Delivering consistently high-quality small plates during busy services
- Supporting menu development and seasonal changes
- Maintaining strong organisation, prep standards, and kitchen structure
- Leading by example on service, cleanliness, and pace
- Stepping up to run the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence
Responsibilities
- Run and support day-to-day kitchen operations
- Ensure all dishes are executed to spec, every time
- Manage prep, stock, and ordering alongside the Head Chef
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene (CookSafe compliant)
- Train and support junior chefs to improve consistency and skill
- Work closely with FOH to ensure smooth service and guest experience
- Keep labour and waste in line with business targets
What We’re Looking For
- Three years of experience as a Sous Chef or strong CDP ready to step up
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Strong understanding of kitchen organisation and systems
- Passion for modern small plates and seasonal cooking
- A calm, hands-on leader who sets standards without ego
- Reliable, consistent, and takes pride in the details
What You Get
- A key role in a growing, ambitious business
- Opportunity to contribute to menus and creative direction
- A strong, supportive team environment
- Staff food and drinks benefits
- Real progression as the business grows
