We are seeking a talented Chef to join our team at AJ & Co (Devon) Ltd. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing nutritious meals that cater to the dietary needs of our residents while fostering a warm and welcoming atmosphere in their home.

To support our Registered manager and Kitchen Manager prepare and deliver fresh, quality food to the residents within Meadowside and St Francis Care Centre. Ensuring the smooth delivery of mealtimes to residents so they enjoy each day with a nutritious and well-balanced diet in line with their meal plans.
The right candidate
experience working in a busy kitchen environment is essential. Naturally calm under pressure and possesses the ability to work quickly and efficiently to provide high quality meals to the residents.
This position would suit someone that has high personal standards regarding food.
Experience in cooking, baking, and preparing food in a commercial kitchen is essential.
Training and Support with all kitchen equipment will be given to the successful applicant by the Kitchen Manager and kitchen staff to help integrate into the unfamiliar environment.
Qualification in Level 2 food Safety & Hygiene is preferable but not essential as training will be provided.

Requirements
Proven experience as a Chef
Strong knowledge and care for Food Safety and Hygiene Practices
Good Culinary and Baking Skills
Kind, caring and compassionate in nature.
Enthusiastic and committed to making a positive contribution to the people who we care for.
Highly motivated and driven to achieve our ambitious standards.
Ability to communicate and interact well with residents, their families, and co-workers.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook delicious high quality home cooked food using fresh ingredients
Ensure compliance with Food Safety Standards and Regulations
Collaborate with the Kitchen Manager and other staff members to create new and exciting dishes for our seasonal menus
Schedule
Full Time Hours
36 hours per week.
Weekend Availability is essential (Every other weekend off).
Pay
£13.85 per hour.
