Are you an experienced supervisor with excellent customer service, leadership and administrative skills? Do you have experience of parking enforcement, debt recovery, regulatory services or a similar operational environment?
We are looking for a Parking Services Supervisor to join our Parking Services team and play a key role in delivering an efficient, fair and customer-focused parking service across the Borough.
As Parking Services Supervisor, you will lead and support a team responsible for the administration of parking enforcement activities, including the processing of Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs), customer enquiries, permit schemes and debt recovery processes. You will ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with legislation, Council policies and service standards.
You will take ownership of complex customer complaints, monitor team performance, produce management reports and help drive continuous service improvements. The role also involves working closely with enforcement agents, suppliers, stakeholders and colleagues across the Council to ensure the smooth operation of the service.
- Supervise and support the Parking Services administration team.
- Manage the processing and review of Penalty Charge Notices and representations.
- Lead on customer complaints, enquiries and dispute resolution.
- Monitor workloads, performance and service standards.
- Produce statistical and performance reports.
- Coach, mentor and develop staff, including apprentices.
- Oversee debt recovery activities and maximise PCN recovery rates.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, Council policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate public information, correspondence and statutory notices.
- Represent the Council at Traffic Penalty Tribunal hearings where required.
- Liaise with suppliers, enforcement agents and key stakeholders to support service delivery.
