You’ll be joining a supportive, person-centred service helping adults with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs and complex care needs live fulfilling and independent lives.

THE ROLE
As a Senior Support Worker, you’ll take a lead role during shifts while remaining hands-on in delivering high-quality, person-centred care and support.
You’ll lead by example, support other members of the team and help create a safe, positive and empowering environment where every individual is treated with dignity and respect.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and supporting the staff team during shifts
- Delivering high-quality, person-centred care and support
- Promoting independence, dignity, choice and inclusion
- Supporting individuals with daily living activities and personal care where required
- Administering and recording medication safely
- Completing accurate care records, daily notes and incident reports
- Supporting care planning and risk management
- Monitoring changes in health, wellbeing and support needs
- Supporting positive behaviour and risk management strategies
- Encouraging community participation and meaningful activities
- Building positive relationships with individuals, families and professionals
- Mentoring and supporting other team members
- Maintaining high standards of safeguarding and care practice
ABOUT YOU
We’d like to hear from you if you:
- Have previous experience working in UK adult social care
- Are already a Senior Support Worker or an experienced Support Worker ready to progress
- Have experience supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs or complex care needs
- Have experience administering medication and completing care documentation
- Are confident supporting colleagues and taking responsibility during a shift
- Are calm, reliable and able to make good decisions
- Communicate clearly and work well as part of a team
- Are compassionate and committed to providing high-quality care
- Have the right to work in the UK
- Hold a full UK driving licence
A Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care is desirable but not essential. Relevant experience and the ability to lead by example are equally important.
SHIFT PATTERN
This is a permanent, full-time position working 40 hours per week on a planned rota.
Shifts include a mixture of early, late and long-day shifts, with alternate weekend working.
Rotas are provided in advance, offering greater stability and consistency.
