Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Gas & Plumbing Engineer to join our team, responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing gas and plumbing systems across various commercial and residential sites. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude, experience with a range of tools and techniques, and the ability to work safely and efficiently in diverse environments. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about plumbing and engineering to develop their skills within a professional setting.
The role location will be varied in customer properties, commercial properties and occasionally on site.
Locations of work can vary and usually across Yorkshire.
Responsibilities
- Boiler breakdown diagnosis and fault finding
- Boiler repairs and maintenance
- Full strip-down servicing of gas Boilers
- Boiler installations and system upgrades
- First and second fix plumbing
- Domestic and commercial plumbing installations
- General heating system works and repairs
- Use hand tools, power tools and welding equipment
- Carry out pipefitting, soldering, and welding as required
- Perform heavy lifting of equipment or materials safely during installation or maintenance work
- Read technical drawings and schematics to ensure accurate system setup and repairs
- Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts utilised
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety legislation
Experience
Full Gas Qualifications
2 Years experience
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
Proven experience with boiler installations and repairs
Excellent plumbing knowledge and practical experience
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Full UK driving licence
Professional, reliable and customer-focused attitude
Desirable but not essential
Commercial Gas Experience
Knowledge of Air Source Heat Pumps
Experience installing and commissioning Air Conditioning systems
Renewable heating experience
