Job Overview
We are seeking 2 dedicated and passionate Early Years Practitioners to join our childcare team. The positions are for 36 hours and 27 hours per week.
The successful candidates will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their developmental needs through engaging activities and personalised care. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in early childhood education or childcare to make a positive impact on children's lives while developing their professional skills within a supportive setting.
Full training is provided and the successful candidates will need an enhanced DBS, First Aid Training, Food Hygiene and Safeguarding. These can be arranged if not already held by the candidate.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that promote learning, development, and socialisation among children.
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children at all times, adhering to safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Support children's emotional and behavioural development through positive guidance and encouragement.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress, behaviour, and daily routines.
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding children's development and daily experiences.
- Assist with the organisation of nursery routines, including meal times, nap times, and play sessions.
- Contribute to a warm, welcoming environment that encourages curiosity and exploration.
- Support colleagues in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and safety within the nursery setting.
Skills
- Proven experience working with children in a childcare or nursery setting is highly desirable.
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate skills to organise activities and oversee children's wellbeing effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in English, capable of engaging with children, parents, and team members clearly and professionally.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and child development stages.
- Ability to demonstrate patience, empathy, and nurturing qualities essential for caring for young children.
- Organised with good time management skills to balance multiple responsibilities efficiently.
