Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Home (Fast-Track Registration)

About the Role
Beluga Care Homes is seeking an ambitious, experienced, and child-focused Registered Manager to lead the opening and registration of a brand-new children’s residential home.
This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a new service from the ground up, working alongside a supportive Responsible Individual and senior leadership team to achieve fast-track Ofsted registration and establish an outstanding home that transforms the lives of children and young people.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Ofsted registration process from application through to registration.
- Develop a safe, nurturing and therapeutic home environment.
- Recruit, lead and develop a high-performing staff team.
- Ensure compliance with the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards.
- Build positive relationships with local authorities, social workers and partner agencies.
- Drive excellent outcomes for children and young people.
- Manage safeguarding, quality assurance, audits and regulatory requirements.
- Promote a culture of high aspirations, compassion and continuous improvement.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager in a children’s residential home.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards where eligible).
- Thorough knowledge of Ofsted regulations and children’s home legislation.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
Desirable
- Experience registering a new children’s home.
- Track record of achieving Good or Outstanding Ofsted inspections.
- Experience supporting children with emotional and behavioural needs.
