JG Engineering is recruiting a land surveyor and setting out an engineer and GVC Drone Pilot (optional) to work on different civil engineering projects across the UK.
Candidate to be based in Greater Manchester / North West
The ideal candidate will need the following skills and experience:
- At least 2 years of experience setting out and surveying within the civil engineering industry
- Be able to read and understand construction drawings.
- Understand survey software (ideally LSS) and be able to produce volumes
- Good understanding of AutoCAD LT
- Proficient in using a total station for surveying or setting out
- Proficient in using a GPS kit for surveying or setting out
- Proficient in using Dumpy Level
- Be able to set out profile boards and batter rails to assist with earthworks projects.
- Have a good understanding of site QA paperwork.
Candidates must have:
- A full UK driving licence
- Be IT-literate.
- Good communication skills and reliability
- At least 5 GCSE's at grade C+
- HNC Civil Engineering preferred but not essential
The position will carry a competitive salary for a site engineer, and the accompanying package will be inclusive of a company van.
Pay: £28,015.30-£40,000.00 per year
