DG Solutions is a young, ambitious and rapidly growing business providing specialist B2B Dangerous Goods support, training and consultancy services across the UK and Europe. As we continue to expand, we are seeking an exceptional Sales Manager to lead our client-facing operations and ensure we continue to deliver industry-leading service standards while achieving ambitious commercial growth targets.
This is a leadership role with responsibility for managing and developing a team of four Client Account Managers while overseeing the day-to-day commercial and operational performance of the business. You will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of our sales pipeline, ensuring our CRM remains accurate and effective, monitoring key performance indicators, and ensuring opportunities are consistently progressed from initial enquiry through to long-term client partnership.
Working closely with the Managing Director, Technical Excellence Manager and DG Consultants, you will drive revenue growth, identify new market opportunities, develop winning proposals for major organisations and public bodies, and ensure that every client receives an exceptional level of service. You will be accountable for maintaining demanding service standards, including rapid response times to enquiries and technical queries, proactive client engagement programmes, and the continual development of customer relationships across our portfolio.
Alongside your commercial responsibilities, you will have input on our operational excellence across our training and consultancy services, ensuring processes are efficient, documented and consistently delivered to the highest standards. You will take ownership of team performance, training and development, identify opportunities for continuous improvement, and ensure the business maintains the professionalism, responsiveness and attention to detail that our clients expect.

The position includes regular travel to our South Wales office, typically on a monthly basis, together with occasional international travel where required.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the integrity of the Hubspot CRM Database by running routine reports and conducting quality checks to ensure that customer approaches/processing is correct and that all data is accurate and complete. Ensuring any errors are corrected immediately, collated and analysing trends to ensure any training gaps are identified and addressed for each team member.
- Responsible for achieving growth targets for revenue year-on-year.
- Responsible for investigating, scoping and proposing new target markets and recommending approach/marketing strategies to make progress on those markets.
- Responsible for developing technically and operationally tailored proposals for large organisations/public bodies with a proven success rate of over 75%.
- Responsible for ensuring industry-leading excellence in our client experience, and Client care KPIs are met.
- Responsible for ensuring DG Consultant utilisation is maintained at 75-90%
- Responsible for reviewing each customer account, every 12 months to ensure best-service and maximum offering is made of our product range.
- Oversee new leads on CRM, ensuring that potential leads are researched, added and progressed at a steady rate to maintain sales pipeline (c. 15 new approaches per person, per day).
- Oversee the DGS Inboxes to ensure that new enquiries, and support queries are consistently answered swiftly and to an exceptional standard
- Lead the day-to-day running of the office and ensure any issues are troubleshooted, recorded and communicated to Managing Director.
Pay: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
