Envirowales Limited, a leading lead acid battery recycling plant based in Ebbw Vale, South Wales, is looking for an Onsite Cleaning Technician to join our friendly team.
Job Purpose
To maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic working environment throughout the manufacturing facility, offices, welfare areas, and communal spaces. The successful candidate will ensure cleaning tasks are completed to a high standard while complying with health and safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out daily cleaning duties across designated areas of the manufacturing site.
- Clean and sanitise offices, meeting rooms, reception areas, kitchens, canteens, and welfare facilities.
- Clean and disinfect toilets and washroom facilities, replenishing consumables as required.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors in accordance with site standards.
- Empty waste bins and dispose of waste appropriately.
- Ensure cleaning equipment and materials are used safely and stored correctly.
- Follow all company health, safety, environmental, and security procedures.
- Wear appropriate PPE as required.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping throughout the site.
Person Specification
Essential
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
- Good attention to detail.
- Ability to follow instructions and health and safety procedures.
- Physically capable of carrying out cleaning duties, including standing, bending, lifting, and moving cleaning equipment.
- Effective communication skills.
Desirable
- Previous cleaning experience, preferably within a manufacturing, industrial, or commercial environment.
- Knowledge of COSHH regulations and safe handling of cleaning chemicals.
- Experience using industrial cleaning equipment.
Benefits
- Part-time working hours - 20 hours per week. 6am-10am Mon - Friday.
