We are looking for a Kitchen Manager to step into the heart of our kitchen and lead a dynamic team with energy, clarity, and hands-on support. As Kitchen Manager, you`ll set the standard by example motivating your team, refining performance, and creating an environment where everyone thrives. From cooking alongside your team to managing budgets, solving day-to-day challenges, and ensuring smooth, safe operations, you`ll keep the kitchen running like clockwork. All while driving memorable dining experiences and upholding brand excellence.

Requirements:
- Proven experience leading large kitchen teams in roles such as Kitchen Manager, Head Chef or as an experienced Sous Chef.
- Level 3 Food Hygiene Qualification desirable.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Exceptional customer service and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
- Experience in budgeting and financial management.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Job Description
Your role:
To take full responsibility for all aspects of managing your kitchen. To support, lead and motivate the team, in a safe and happy environment, to meet sales, profit and compliance targets.
- To provide excellent customer service.
- To serve all food to the correct specification.
- To adhere to all Wetherspoon standard operating procedures (SOPs) and company policies, to maintain a clean, safe and legal workplace.
About you:
- Demonstrate leadership qualities.
- Have the ability to manage time and prioritise tasks, to ensure that each shift runs smoothly and efficiently.
- Know how and when to delegate tasks and how to feed back positively to the person completing the task (identifying any areas for improvement, if necessary).
- Demonstrate passion and enthusiasm in your role and show commitment to your colleagues and your pub
- Have a strong work ethic and be self-motivated
- Have a friendly nature and good communications skills.
- Be honest, trustworthy and respectful.
- Remain calm when working in a fast-paced environment.
- Adhere to Wetherspoon’s kitchen uniform and appearance standards.
- Receive regular feedback from the management team and achieve any actions agreed on.
Pay: £30,000.00-£33,000.00 per year
