We are looking for a passionate and energetic Greengrocer to join our team. You will be the face of our produce section of our busy stall, helping customers select the freshest fruits and vegetables while maintaining beautiful, high-quality displays. * Previous retail experience is desirable

Desirable:
* Previous experience in fruit & vegetable or grocery retail
* Knowledge of fresh produce handling
* Experience in customer service roles
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
* Basic knowledge of health & safety in retail
* Have excellent customer service and communication skills
* Have good personal presentation and hygiene
* Be able to meet the physical demands of the role
* Be a team player, customer focused and will bring their best to the role
* Be flexible, working additional hours or covering holiday if needed, to support the business
* Be a quick learner and comfortable learning on the job
Food retail experience is preferable, but not a necessity as we look for personality and a passion for customer service, above all else.
Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
* Helping to load/unload produce from the van for opening
* Supporting the managers with opening
* Cleaning the produce trays, shelving, mirrors before open
* Supporting the managers with opening the shop
* Greeting and getting to know each customer, making them feel at home
* Providing excellent customer service throughout their shopping experience
* Processing all sales politely, efficiently, and accurately
* Ensuring produce is rotated and stocked up accordingly, disposing of packaging appropriately
* Supporting stock take monitoring and waste management
* Closing the shop, packing away in the evening
* Helping with designing and setting up seasonal displays
* Promoting seasonal produce to help meet weekly sales targets
Pay: £12.75 per hour
