We are looking for a stock control assistant to join our family business.
The ideal candidate’s role will involve but not be limited to:
⁃ Reconciliation of purchase invoices to receipted deliveries, checking for errors such as pricing and quantities
⁃ Creation of new product entries on the system and subsequent purchase orders in accordance with those placed by our buyers
⁃ Perform data entry tasks with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
⁃ Tasks to ensure stock files are as accurate as possible all year round, including problem solving and stock checks
-Maintain the stock system to enable auto replenishment product ordering
⁃ Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive information
⁃ Assist with administrative tasks as assigned
Requirements
- Previous experience in clerical or administrative roles preferred
- Proficient in computerised data entry and typing skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft office, and excellent knowledge of Excel is key to this role
- Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Professional phone etiquette and communication skills
This position requires a candidate who is highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to work independently. The stock control assistant will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate and up-to-date records for our organisation.
