At North East Lincolnshire Council, we are ambitious for all children and young people. We are seeking an enthusiastic, organised and highly motivated Children's Information Rights and Assurance Coordinator to join our Children’s Assurance, Partnerships and Evaluation Team.

About the role
As the Children's Information Rights and Assurance Coordinator, you will lead and coordinate key information rights, assurance and improvement functions across Children's Services. You will play a vital role in ensuring statutory compliance, promoting transparency, supporting service improvement and helping us learn from feedback and experiences.
What you will be doing
In this role, you will coordinate responses to Freedom of Information (FOI) requests, Subject Access Requests (SARs), and complaints, ensuring that all responses are high quality, accurate, and delivered within required timescales. You will monitor compliance with statutory and local performance requirements, working closely with managers and practitioners across Children's Services to support effective information management and regulatory compliance.
The role involves analysing complaints, feedback, and information requests to identify themes, learning opportunities, and areas for service improvement, while producing assurance reports and performance information for senior leaders.
You will also support inspection readiness activities, lead the proactive publication of information to improve transparency and reduce repeat requests, and help children, young people, and families access information they are entitled to through the SAR process.
In addition, you will contribute to the development of systems, processes, and practice improvements that support positive outcomes for children and families.
About You
We are looking for a motivated and dedicated individual who is passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people. You will be highly organised, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities while meeting statutory deadlines.
You will be confident in analysing information, identifying trends, and presenting findings in a clear and meaningful way to support service improvement and informed decision-making. Strong communication and relationship-building skills are essential, as you will work closely with colleagues across Children's Services, providing both support and constructive challenge where needed.
The successful candidate will be resilient, solution-focused, and capable of working collaboratively across teams and services to achieve positive outcomes. Experience in information governance, complaints management, quality assurance, performance monitoring, or a related field would be advantageous.
Most importantly, you will have a strong understanding of confidentiality, data protection, and professional integrity, with a commitment to handling sensitive information responsibly and supporting a culture of continuous improvement across Children's Services.
