We are currently recruiting compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to work on a day-to-day supply basis in schools across Denbigh from September.
This rewarding role is ideal for experienced SEN Teaching Assistants, Learning Support Assistants, care workers, support workers, or individuals with experience supporting children or young people with additional learning needs.
The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) both in and out of the classroom.
- Work closely with teachers to deliver tailored learning and intervention activities.
- Help create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
- Encourage pupils' independence, confidence, and emotional wellbeing.
- Support students with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents where appropriate.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN is desirable but not essential.
- A caring, patient, and empathetic approach.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A proactive and flexible attitude.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
- Right to work in the UK.
