Summary
We are looking for an experienced Site Supervisor to support the successful delivery of high-profile highway and civil engineering schemes.
You will take responsibility for the day-to-day supervision of projects, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, on programme and to the required quality standards. You will work closely with Project Managers, clients, engineers, subcontractors and site teams to maintain progress and achieve a zero-defect handover.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise highway and civil engineering works to ensure they are delivered safely, on time and to specification.
- Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, plant, materials and resources.
- Prepare and review RAMS, complete site audits and maintain SHE compliance.
- Monitor programme progress, site diaries, allocation sheets and project reporting.
- Ensure quality procedures, ITPs and site records are completed correctly.
- Identify delays, variations and NEC Early Warning Notices, escalating them promptly.
- Liaise with clients, engineers, Project Managers and the office team.
- Support and mentor Foremen to maintain high standards across each scheme.
Key Skills, Experience & Qualifications
- Strong experience in civils (essential) and asphalt surfacing (desirable)
- Proven background in highways and live site environments
- Strong understanding of HSEQ and safe systems of work
- Ability to manage and coordinate multiple site activities
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- CSCS Gold Card (desirable)
- SMSTS / SSSTS (required)
- NRSWA Supervisor (desirable)
