Normal work pattern: 40 hour week. 8.30am-5pm over 5 days, including every 2nd Saturday.
We are looking to add a 2nd supervisor to our busy retail team to effectively assist the manager in the daily operations of the store. Working alongside our current supervisor, you will need strong leadership and communication skills to lead employees and volunteers in completion of daily tasks and to promote excellent customer service, resolving any issues that may arise. Must be able to lift and move heavy objects up and down stairs.
Key responsibilities include:
Oversee, train and retain a small team of motivated staff (both employees and volunteers) to assist in the successful running of the warehouse charity shop, which includes sorting/cleaning/recycling incoming donated items; stocking shop floor; constructing furniture
Ensure high standards of customer service
Provide a clean, safe, attractive environment that protects all staff and public
Ensure store targets are met
Monitor efficient systems of EPOS, retail gift aid and financial recording in accordance with organisation procedures
Ensure that all financial and security procedures are adhered to
Provide holiday/sickness cover for Store Manager when required
